Bois de Grandmont : 2 ways

Valentine's Day Edition

Bois de Grandmont : 2 ways
Ingredients

Savoury version:

  • 1 Bois de Grandmont cheese from Fromagerie Médard
  • Cubed bread
  • Roasted potatoes
  • Charcuterie
  • Pickles

Sweet version:

  • 1 Bois de Grandmont cheese from Fromagerie Médard
  • Cherries
  • Apples
  • Maple jelly with dune pepper from Vallée du Moulin
  • Beet chips
  • Prunes
  • Rye & hemp crackers from Fromagerie Médard
Steps

Savory version:

  • Wrap the Bois de Grandmont in aluminum foil (base and sides). Place on a baking sheet and heat in the oven for about 12 minutes at 375°F.
  • Take it out of the oven, lift the cheese with a spatula, and transfer it to a serving dish.
  • Using a paring knife, cut off the top of the rind and remove it to get to that melty, gooey center.
  • Serve it like a cheese fondue with toppings of your choice: bread cubes, charcuterie, potatoes, pickles, etc. Simply decadent!

Sweet version:

  • Place the Bois de Grandmont on a plate of your choice.
  • Cut a heart shape into the rind using a small cookie cutter and a knife.
  • Spoon the maple jelly into the heart you’ve just made.
  • Arrange the rest of your toppings around the cheese, and voilà! Ready to enjoy with your favourite accompaniments.
