Étiquette - Grillou

The Grillou is a grilling cheese made with a blend of goat and sheep milk, just like the tradition wants it for the Halloumi cheese type. Once grilled, the semi-soft perfectly salted paste becomes soft on the inside and crispy on the outside.

The name Grillou is linked to grilling, but was also, in older days, a way to call an itinerant tin artisan in certain regions of France. The Fromagerie is celebrating its «Tin Anniversary», 10 years, as this new cheese is launched. Voilà for the little bit of history that intertwine the name of the cheese and the fromagerie.

The Grillou is available plain, seasoned with hot peppers or herbs.
